    Mer has practiced yoga and the healing arts since she was 16. She is a healer, dancer and songbird and has been influenced by the Sri Vidya lineage of Tantra and wide range of teachers from Ana Forrest and Shiva Rae to Alberto Villoldo.

    Her style is fluid and strong and allows space for spiritual access. She creates a steady groove through breath and beats, where one can dissolve into the field of oneness, while meeting their own unique needs. Alone, together.

    After over 20 years of teaching movement Carmen remains curious about the connections of breath to body and brain. She has been teaching at Embra since 2013 and loves the community. In her classes you'll gain a deep awareness of your body and notice how breath and movement can shift your mindset and patterns in your brain. "Ease through Effort" is her favorite quote and something she strives to bring to every class. Carmen works with individuals privately and believes in the positive effects of movement for mental health. Her specialties include: Trauma-Informed Yoga, Pilates Mat and Reformer, working with students with low back pain, deep core including pelvic floor, slow flow and restorative yoga, meditation and breathwork.

    Ben is a certified yoga teacher through Modo Yoga International. He completed his Modo 300-hour teacher training at the Montreal studio, plus 200-hour distance learning in 2015. In 2017, he completed his Flow training with Dina Tsouluhas. Ben is energetic and fun, and he brings that vitality to his Hot 60 and Flow classes.

    Leslie’s yoga training consists of 200 YTT in Ashtanga Yoga, 300 YTT in Rocket Yoga and certifications in Yin Yoga, Prenatal Yoga and Mindfulness. She completed her 500 YTT at Modo Yoga Nicaragua and currently teaches hot yoga and workshops for Embra Yoga Cincinnati. She also leads a yoga studies program for The University of Cincinnati. When it comes to teaching, Leslie’s goal is to help students use yoga to stay connected both spiritually and physically on and off their mats.

  • Shelly

    Shelly’s yoga style is a faster paced vinyasa flow. She is 500 hour yoga & meditation certified, but you can also join her for a Pilates or barre class. She loves her planks & core building exercises. :) Shelly enjoys spending time with family & traveling in her spare time.

  • Kristy

    Kristy completed her 200-hour teacher training in March 2020 and before that was a long-time Embra student and even worked the front desk. She instructs all types of classes including Hot Flow, Yin, Iron Hour, Vin to Yin, and hops in whenever needed! Outside of yoga, you can find her running, fostering dogs, and cheering on Xavier’s basketball team.

    Molly has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and began teaching in 2018. She completed her yoga training while living in Texas and joined the Embra community in 2020, shortly after moving to Cincinnati. Molly married her husband in 2020 and they have three fur babies; Max, Georgie, and Harriet. Molly is also an improv performer and enjoys making people laugh, so be prepared for a joke or two in her class!

    Mindy came to realize the importance of prenatal yoga and its breadth of benefits through her own experience trying to conceive. She completed her 200hr YTT in 2011 with YogahOMe, and her 85hr prenatal training with Shanti Mom in 2012, while preparing to have her first child. She thoroughly enjoys introducing other women (and their partners) to the powerful effects of prenatal yoga during pregnancy, and believes the supportive sangha it creates helps mamas expand their wisdom, their confidence, and their sense of support. Mindy is a mama of 2 who is professionally trained as a Labor and Delivery Social Worker, Ayurvedic Coach, and hypnotherapist, and she's been teaching prenatal yoga at Embra since 2012!

    Hailey has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and completed her teacher training at Embra in 2021. Vinyasa flow classes are her favorite to teach and she loves to provide a well rounded practice with great music. She also recently started teaching Barre. She believes yoga is for everybody and loves the community at Embra!

    Beth has been teaching yoga since 2010 when Embra (formerly moksha/ Modo) opened its doors. She trained in Canada and teaches a style of yoga in which you hold postures and adjust using your breath as your guide. She is currently training to become a yoga therapist. She loves to read, hike, play pickle ball and be with family and friends.

    Cari is a graduate of Embra Studio’s YTT program and a national board certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC). She teaches beginners yoga and yin and is passionate about meditation and breathing as ways to both find energy and relax. She likes to read, cook, exercise, and spend time with friends and family. Originally from Puerto Rico, she lives in Covington.

    Haley took her first hot yoga class in 2009 and was hooked from day one. When she decided to attend a 500 hr teacher training in Canada in 2014, she had no idea how much it would change her life. Haley continues to be inspired each and every day by fellow teachers and the dedication of the students that practice. Since her first training in 2014, she has continued to dedicate herself to learning. She completed her Vinyasa Flow training in 2015, Children’s training in 2016 and Prenatal training in 2018. When not at the studios, Haley can be found spending time with her family and exploring new places.

    Fiona completed her 200 hr yoga teacher training with Embra and has been teaching here fever since! She considers her teaching style as one that holds space for yogis to challenge themselves, explore their intuition and invite playfulness into practice. She loves hot yoga, being outdoors at the beach and spending time with her family, friends and animals. When she's not in the hot room, you can find her at a bookstore, thrifting, reading or sipping a coffee.

    Jasmine received her 200 hour yoga training in 2022 at Embra Studio. She fell in love with her yoga practice and the positive impact it made in her everyday life. Since then, she’s been dedicated to learning how to hold a space for others to experience the powerful healing of yoga.

  • Scarlett

    Scarlett has taught yoga, dance, and fitness in a variety of settings since 2015: from private classes to corporate yoga, from elementary schools to universities, and from outdoor to virtual classes. She is a 200-hour RYT, ACE-certified group fitness instructor, Schwinn-certified cycling instructor, and DANCEFIX teacher. Scarlett danced professionally for 5 years in contemporary and ballet companies and holds her BFA in Ballet Performance from UC CCM. She loves to oil paint, play Mario Kart, and lounge with her fiancé Alex and cat Tot in her free time.
